ITINERARY & OPTIONS

Day and night One (Saturday)

Arrive at CPC Airport in San Martín de los Andes, where your Paisa Expeditions team will greet you and shuttle you to your handpicked accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, this is a great opportunity to stretch out with a few hours of wade fishing or simply relax and settle in after the journey.

That evening, we’ll prepare an authentic Argentine dinner paired with local wine and your drink of choice — the perfect introduction to Northern Patagonia.

Day Two & Three (Sunday and Monday)

Day Two: Fly fish the legendary Chimehuin River by boat, one of Patagonia’s most famed trout fisheries. Known for its healthy populations of rainbow and brown trout, the Chimehuin offers incredible opportunities with dry flies, streamers, and nymphs alike.

Day Three: Spend the day wade fishing the Caleufú River, targeting trophy rainbow and brown trout in one of Northern Patagonia’s most scenic settings.

Each day includes riverside lunches, followed by exceptional dining experiences in the evenings.

      Day Four (Tuesday)

Keep the momentum going and head back out in pursuit of that dream Patagonia trout, or use the day to experience another side of the region. Guests can swap in a variety of activities, including horseback riding, scenic road trips to Villa La Angostura, sightseeing through the Andes, or simply relaxing and taking in the beauty of Northern Patagonia with Paisa Expeditions.

        Days Five & Six ( Wed/ Thurs)

Fly Fish and overnight camp on the Collon Cura

Spend two unforgettable days floating and fly fishing the legendary Collón Curá River with state-of-the-art riverside camping gear. Widely regarded as one of the finest float fisheries in Northern Patagonia, the Collón Curá is known for its vast landscapes, healthy wild trout populations, and incredible dry fly opportunities.

Each mobile camp is fully outfitted and supported by a dedicated camp chef and camp helper, creating one of the most sought-after experiences we offer at Paisa Expeditions. After full days on the water, guests arrive to comfortable riverside camps complete with cold drinks, appetizers, and traditional Argentine dinners cooked over the fire.

The Collón Curá offers miles of productive trout water, dramatic canyon scenery, and consistent opportunities at strong wild rainbow and brown trout. Each day includes a riverside lunch featuring classic Argentine cuisine, while evenings are centered around Patagonia’s renowned food, wine, and camaraderie beneath the stars.

After your second day on the river, enjoy a scenic Paisa transfer back to your lodge in Junín de los Andes.

Day Seven – Friday (Final Day)

Choose between wade fishing the legendary Malleo River, sight-casting to big, wild brown trout, or floating the iconic Chimehuín River by boat. You can also swap in one of our other daily adventure options to round out your experience.

Cap off the journey with a classic Argentine asado, celebrating your final night together in true Patagonia fashion—good food, good wine, and stories earned the right way.

            Day 8- Return Home (Saturday)

Sit back and think about your epic trip on a flight back to Buenos Aires to
connect to your overnight flight back home!
