Estancia Pilolil
Paisa Luxury Lodging
Fly Fishing. Culture. Patagonia.
23,000 acres of wild Patagonia, with world-class rivers right at your doorstep.
Between Junín de los Andes and Alumine, Estancia Pilolil is a 23,000-acre working ranch bordering more than 10 miles of the west bank of the Aluminé River — one of northern Patagonia’s premier fly fishing destinations.
The lodge accommodates up to 12 guests in deluxe comfort, with excellent cuisine, fine Argentine wines, and five-star service throughout.
Beyond the Aluminé itself, guests reach diverse water nearby — the Lower Malleo, Quillén, Malalco, Pulmarí, Nahuel Mapi, Collón Curá, and Chimehuín. Off the water, the ranch offers trekking, horseback riding, mountain biking, 4×4 adventures, and true gaucho ranch activities.
The name Pilolil comes from the Mapuche word for “holed stone” — a striking rock formation downstream on the Aluminé with towers, caves, and natural bridges, for which the ranch is named.
