I recently had the absolute privilege of joining PAISA Expeditions (PAISA) for what can only be described as the most extraordinary red stag hunting trip imaginable. Set against the jaw-dropping backdrop of the Andes Mountains in Patagonia, this expedition redefined my understanding of adventure, professionalism, and hospitality.
From the moment we saddled up, the horseback riding through Patagonia’s wild, untouched terrain was nothing short of breathtaking—literally and figuratively. The guides were exceptionally skilled, personable, and deeply knowledgeable, and the horses were impeccably trained and matched to every rider’s experience level. Every detail of the journey felt meticulously curated and executed with care.
The hunting experience itself was world-class—ethically guided, challenging, and deeply respectful of the land and the animal. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every meal felt like a reward, crafted with local flavors and hearty comfort that hit the spot after long days in the field.
I have to give immense credit to Joe Kelly Taylor, whose vision and execution made this trip what it was. His ability to bring together the right people, secure the necessary permits, and orchestrate such a seamless operation in such a remote part of the world is nothing short of remarkable. There’s truly no one else offering this kind of expedition with this level of authenticity, logistical expertise, and soul.
